What does "friendship" mean to you?
"Friendship with oneself is all important, because without it one cannot be friends with anyone else in the world" Eleanor RooseveltThis quote made me think….. how do I define friendship? What does it mean to me? www.merriam-Webster.com defines friend in part as “one attached to another by affection or esteem”, “acquaintance”, and “a favored companion”. I do know that I expect more of myself as a friend than I expect from a friend. If the definition is the same than why would the expectations be different? How does that work in regard to being a friend to myself?
